The Visual Identity of Vista 2008

Ok this one is just about our logo. But we thought using words like "visual identity" makes it look much more serious than it actually is :) Clever we!

Well, seriously. The logo of Vista 2008 aint one of those abstract collages of lines and curves that we so often come across. The logo has something to say. Something profound. Something deep. Something non-superficial. (Drat. I've forgotten what it is. And am buying time. You didn't realise that, did you? Ha ha ha)

The theme for this year is "Emerging Economies. Emerging Realities". It's a reference to the complements of heady successes and dreadful apprehensions that have plagued the emerging economies in recent times. When we say 'emerging economies' we mean BRIC - Belgium, Romania, Indonesia and Chile.

Brazil, Russia, India and China.

As you can see, the logo (right behind the theme) represents the twin forces that drive economies towards better and worse economic health at the same time. (Pushmi-Pullyu, anyone?).

And what is to happen of the vector sum of these forces?

Vista 2008 wil endeavour to answer this question.
